“A Fresh Approach” was the project brief. Easy enough, with those large volumes, clean lines, lots of natural light and porcelain floors. So the natural stage was set. An introduction of textured seed cloth wall paper flowing into a complimentary patterned paper in the dining area, were added to the mix and suddenly the rooms began to live.
A touch of Africa for some of the dominant pieces: A tan leather sofa, bone mosaic chairs and an Nguni skin, gave strength to the fire place area. A Polish grey linen for the L-shpaed TV sofa and finally, a delicate white linen with sprigs and ferns, in acid green and charcoal embroidery work, just pulled everything together.
A stone clad fire place was the perfect spot for a more intimate seating. Here the old guilt Louis chairs were stripped back to natural and upholstered in raw cream linen.
The dining room was redesigned using a handcrafted copper and raw oak dining table.  Splashes of cool, turquoise’s and lime green were picked out of the art work and used as upholstery on chairs and scatters, as a contrast to the warmth of the room.
