Pearl Valley – Modern Pearl

I was recently presented with the project of transforming this Pearl Valley home from a grain of sand into a fresh white pearl.

A clear brief to be executed with German precision and timing. “Clean, functional modern lines, punctuated with beautiful art”, is what we would like.

Away with the wooden panels, bamboo flooring and muddy shades of grey-blue and in with a neutral palette of crisp whites, subtile creams and contrasting deep taupe.

A simple thread holds the theme together, of sea green turquoise: Linking headboards, to bathrooms and placemats to scatter cushions.

With the installation of extra broad, raw oak flooring for a touch of warmth, the perfect stage was set.

An exciting refreshing approach, in that most of the vibrant art work was chosen way ahead of the demolition process.
